Statement

Upon reflection, I realised that the primary reason I make zines is not to make money. Instead, it is to share my art and my thoughts with the world, in my efforts to create personal connections with people.

Money thus becomes an obstacle I would like to remove when accessing my zines. This is informed by conversations about the cost of living crises around the world, specifically how these disproportionately affect people from marginalised communities.

As a result, I have decided to make all digital editions of my zines free to view on my website. Whereas I understand that reading the physical zine is a very different experience, I wanted to make the content of the zines accessible for everyone. This expands my idea of democratising performance, whereby performing through alternate media, amplifies the accessibility of the work.

I recognise that creative labour must also be somehow compensated. To support my work directly, you can purchase a physical copy of the zines through my store, or ‘tip me’ on Paypal. However, money is not the only way to support me. If you enjoyed the zines, you can consider sharing the links to my website and social media with others, as well as following me.

Thank you, Antonis
