Living within a culture where embedded Western models of mutually exclusive, binary opposites are largely unchallenged, I cannot help but wonder how these ‘codes’ affect society. We recognize and respond to the two poles of such dichotomies, but what happens when we explore the myriad of possibilities that lie between them? 'The failure of Sekss' journeys down that route as I investigate sexuality, the territories existing between gender binaries, and how nonconformity to dominant social norms is equated to failure.
